Race Face have marked the launch of their new website by offering users the chance to help determine the outcome of their $10,000 Ultimate Freeride Championship.

In true Pop Idol fashion, the videos of 16 extreme riders have been selected for the final round of voting on the website. Each week four videos will be put up on the site ready for you to watch and vote on. After a second semi-final round, the winner from the two finalists will be decided by a live vote at the Sea Otter mountain bike festival. The winner will get $10,000 in cash, plus a full sponsorship place from Race Face.

The first four videos range from totally pro to enthusiastic amateur, but they’re all worth watching. Big air, some crazy North shore work and a serious set of manuals are all on display, but vultures will be disappointed there’s only one crash.

To get involved you need to be prepared to join a mailing list and then mail back to subscribe, so wait till you get home if that’s a work-time problem.
