Closing date for the Alpine Bikes World Cup Chaser (Fort William, 1 June) is 16 May, so if you want to join riders from as far afield as Australia and the USA on the same course as the pros in the Fort William World Cup then get yourself an entry form from www.gmbc.org.uk and send it off.

You have to enter in advance – your entry includes tickets to enter the World Cup village, without which you can’t actually reach the sign on for the race… The tickets allow you to watch the World Cup Downhill semi-finals and finals and include an official World Cup t-shirt.

If you’re in the area, the course in Leanachan Forest (map of the course here) is finished, open and can be ridden up until a week before the event.
