At last week’s Fisher Expo – where we also spotted new gear from RockShox, Bluegrass and Troy Lee Designs – Airace showed us their 2011 range, which includes three new mini pumps.
The Speed F2, pictured above, is a portable mini floor pump, which comes with a frame attachment and an extractable hose to protect the valve.
The 31.5cm aluminium pump, which retails at £32.99, can inflate a tyre up to 140psi and the ergonomic folding handle helps take the strain. What’s more, it has a reversible head for Presta and Schrader valves.
Next up, the Fit Tele MTB (£21.99) is, you guessed it, a mountain bike-specific pump which can inflate up to 80psi. It comes in four colours (black, blue, red and yellow) and also has an extrtactable hose. The telescopic design (the pump is 17.5cm long) makes for maximum efficiency.
Last in the new mini pump range is the pump that got us the most excited: the Dual Jet TS – a dual function pump which doubles up as a shock pump as well as a pump for your tyres. It’s rated to 300psi for shocks and 80psi for tyres.
The shock pump has a non-scratch rubber sealed head, and there’s also an extractable hose for shock. It will set you back £27.99.
Now, looking at floor pumps, the Infinity AS, at £87.99, is Airace’s range-topper. The AS’ stable design includes a 2.5″ high-visibility gauge and an air bleeder for 2-3psi fine air pressure control. The patented pump head can switch between Schrader and Presta valves, producing up to 300psi. The pump has an aluminium barrel, sleeve and base, while the braided steel hose protects against splitting.
Finally, the Infinty P (£49.99) comes in two colours (black/silver and black/gold), with a maximum pressure output of 180psi. The P also comes with a 2.5in gauge and air bleeder – and the valve automatically detects for Schrader or Presta. The pump has a plastic sleeve and steel base, with weight concentrated towards the ground for added stability.
