Chile has some of the world’s most astounding scenery and also one of its most striking mountain ranges – the Andes. More to the point though, there is a rapidly developing mountain bike scene helped no doubt by the success of the crazy street races in Valparaiso (remember this?).

2012 saw the first enduro series in the country and this video from the most recent event shows just how far the sport has progressed over there (how annoying is it that this was shot only a matter of weeks ago – look at the weather!).

You’ll also note the presence of Commencal’s Remy Absalon, and he’s not the only pro rider who’s visited in 2012 – Jerome Clementz and the USA’s Ben Cruz have also made appearances. This could be the start of something big.
