Wow, yesterday saw quite some finish to the 2013 World Cup DH season with Canadian Steve Smith achieving a dream and snatching the series title away from Britain’s Gee Atherton at the very last hurdle. If you missed the incredible action, have a look at the full replay here to see what we’re talking about.
Steve Smith hasn’t come from nowhere though; he has been riding and racing since an early age and his absolute dedication and passion for the sport is what drove him to the top of the international rankings. If you are a fan of the film Seasons then you might just remember a young Smith shuttling mountains and learning his trade on the slopes of BC. The film’s producers released his full film segment last year following his first World Cup victory and we only thought it necessary to dig the great edit out once again as a reminder of what it takes to get to the top in this sport.
Congratulations Steve Smith.
