As far as we can tell there aren’t any bikes in it, but if you’ve got even a passing interest in “extreme” sports then tune in to Xtremists tonight at 10pm on Channel 4. It’s more than just loads of footage of people jumping off cliffs and trying to outrun avalanches – the programme looks at the growth of professional daftness, asks why it’s all happening and wonders where all the money’s coming from (and going to).

But don’t worry, there’s still loads of footage of people doing very silly things indeed. Catch it if you can…
