The biggest event on the UK mountain bike calendar, Mountain Mayhem, has a new title sponsor in the shape of online retailer Wiggle.

Now in its 15th year, Wiggle Mountain Mayhem is the first and biggest 24-hour race that is a highlight of the mountain bike season, with over 2,000 riders set to compete on the route that twists around the Eastnor Castle estate on 22-24 June 2012.

Tickets will be available from the Wiggle website and entrants will also be encouraged to make the annual pilgrimage to event organiser Patrick Adams’ house where they’ll be welcomed with a big smile and a fantastic atmosphere! Previous years’ have seen stealth-like exits from Aston Martinsto the front door, entry in-hand. Needless to say, entrants to Wiggle Mountain Mayhem 2012 willundoubtedly offer Patrick some more surprises!

As well as the 24-hour event, there is also the Sunday Munch (a sportive ride), the Jnr24@24 for youger riders and Midsummer Madness (a run). That’s not all though – there’s also Barking Mad (K9 Running) plus othere will be a great programme of Mini Mayhem events too (keep checking the website for details).

Entries will be available from midnight 29th February 2012. Free camping is available for all entrants.
