West Drayton Mountain Bike Club has organised two events for 2009, the Black Park Mountain Bike and Bucks Offroad Sportive, 15 March and 10 May respectively.

Black Park Mountain Bike Race – 15 March 2009

This is the fifth year at this popular country park. The race offers a good technical, fast flat circuit ideally suited to those who want to try racing for the first time. For the more experienced racer it offers plenty of speed and excitement. There are categories for all ages and abilities, including a singlespeed category.

The Bucks Offroad Sportive – 10 May 2009

The Bucks Classic started off 10 years ago after members of the club had taken part in the Hell of the North Cotswolds for a few years the club felt that there was a call for a similar event nearer to London. This year’s 10th anniversary event features an even harder route as the full distance has risen to 121km which must make this one of the hardest off-road sportives, if not the hardest one day event on the calendar, however the club wants to encompass all standards and there are four distances for this year.
