Welsh 4X Championship 2010

The Welsh 4X Championship 2010 will be the first competitive event at the new Afan Bike Park

The Welsh 4X Championship on Sunday 8 August takes place at the brand new Afan Bike Park situated in the heart of the Afan Forest Park in South Wales.

The track was designed by World Championship track designer Phil Saxena and is akin to the tracks used in World Cup competitions. A 500m track awaits racers with rocks, jumps, a cork screw bridge corner like the one used in the World Cup courses at Belgium and Canada along with the longest 4x rock garden ever built in the world.

This will act as the test event in readiness for the European 4x Series race in May 2011.

Fear not, despite the title of the race, you don’t have to be Welsh to take part, and is open to all. Confirmed riders Current National 4X Series Leader Will Longden, Scott Beaumont and Scott Roberts there not welsh so cannot take the title so its wideopen for to be crowned welsh champ.
