Clothing company Visijax have announced two motion activated LED cycling jackets. In other words, the raising of your right or left arm causes the LEDs to light up, indicating to other road users the direction in which you wish to turn. Pretty clever huh?
The Commuter features 23 individual LEDs, white on the front and red on the back. As mentioned, the LEDs are motion sensitive and self-canceling, making use of Visijax’s IMASS® proprietary technology. The jacket is made of Dupont Teflon® rainproof and breathable fabric.
The Highlight is for those cyclists who are operating under tighter budget restraints. It has less LEDs than The Commuter, with 11 covering the front and back. This jacket doesn’t possess the turn-signalling indicators that The Commuter does.
The Commuter retails for £99.99, and The Highlight for £79.99
