The recent deluge – the wettest April on record, we’re told – has left the trails of the North Downs caked in claggy mud, interspersed with knee-deep puddles, but that didn’t stop riders getting out for the Wiggle Ups and Downs MTB Ride on Saturday April 28.
The event featured some of Bikemagic’s favourite riding sports in the Surrey Hills, with 25 and 32-mile routes taking in the tracks and bridleways of Ranmore Common, Hurst Wood, Wooton Common and Broadmoor.
And, judging by the mud-splattered faces in this video, it looks like those who donned their waterproofs and slid their way around the courses enjoyed the south east’s riding spots as much as we do… although would a little sun be too much to ask?
