British downhill racing legend Steve Peat and Santa Cruz Syndicate team-mate Greg Minnaar recently scoped out the course that they’ll race at the world championships in Leogang Austria on Sunday, September 2.

The 2012 UCI MTB & Trials World Championships at Saalfelden, Leogang, Austria kicks off on Friday August 31 with four-cross qualifying. That’s the opener to a weekend of gravity racing, with four-cross finals on Saturday, September 1 and downhill finals Sunday, September 2.
The trials competition fills most of the following weekdays before attention turns to cross-country racing with the team relay on Thursday, September 6. Then there are two days of individual cross-country races Friday September 7 and Saturday September 8, before the first ever cross-country eliminator world championships on Sunday September 9.
