Whistle Bikes have arrived in the UK after signing an exclusive distribution deal with Halfords.com.

The US brand, available online only, expands Halfords’ portfolio of mountain bikes and will sit alongside Boardman, Trax and Voodoo. The bikes are designed in Colorado, with names like Miwok, Alikut, and Huron inspired by local Indian tribes.

The nine-strong mountain bike collection ranges from the £349.99 Whistle Miwok to the £1,549.99 Whistle Tonkawa.

The Tonkawa features Shimano Deore 27-speed gears and hydraulic disc brakes with alloy levers. Its carbon and aramid monocoque  frame has a Suntour Raidon Air-RL suspension fork featuring remote lockout and 100mm of travel.

Other highlights include the £1,249.99 Alikut hardtail and the £1,299.99 Lakota full-sussers. Six road bikes are also available.
