The season’s first National Rankings have just been posted on the
BCF website – simply
click on the RANKINGS link on the front page. Remember, rankings are
dependant on results received – so if your points are not up there,
check online to see whether we have received the results of
therelevant races.
Whilst the MTB rankings are looking a bit thin, with Foot and
Mouth still hanging over the sport, there’s no denying the quality of
the top names in the Elite categories – Liam Killeen and Caroline
Alexander in the Cross-Country; Richard Barlow and Fionn Griffiths in
the Downhill.
On the Road, things are pretty tight at the top of both Elite
categories. Caroline Cook leads the women on 128 points, twenty clear
of Emma Davies on 108, with Frances Newstead and Mel Sears both on
94. Romford-Harlow winner Mark Lovatt is, predictably, top male rider
on 122, three clear of Peter Swettenham. Kevin Dawson and Anthony
Malarczyk are joint third on 108.
