This year's course, covering 117 miles and over 12,000 feet of Welsh mountain, ensures the Iron Lemming keeps its slot as the top endurance ride in the UK. Taking in the Brecon Beacons, Black Mountain and a massive circuit of mid Wales the 2-day challenge should be the target for any rider looking for the ultimate ride.

This year trail break have taken the challenge a step further and they are timing the riders and putting all finishers into categories - get into Gold and you are in the true elite.

Also coming up are;

Ridgeway Lemming July 20th - 21st

Princess Risborough – Avebury. 80 miles along the Ridgeway in two days.

South Downs Lemming Sept 7th - 8th

Winchester - Beachy head. 100 mile along one of the best trails in the UK.

Wight Diamond Challenge June 1st - 4th The traditional Wight Diamond programme has grown by one day this year and has introduced a new one day race.

The two day WDC will be followed on Monday by a new event called King of the Hills. This is a 5-hill timed challenge that has full categories plus single speed. And for the drinker that reckons he can climb hills there is the SIS Hedstart challenge. As part of this event you must drink at least 5 pints in the bar the night before the event and then a pint of Hedstart before setting off - so proving the power of the SIS sports and hangover cure - Hedstart!!

In between the racing there will be lots of side events, and live music every night. These include, the 24 minute red cow mini-bike marathon, 3-a-side Bike football, wellington boot bike throw, cheese racing and 'beat the clock' tube blow.

The Wight diamond is three days of great racing but it also promises to be one of the best parties of the year, don't miss it.
