What are you up to this weekend? Here’s a few ideas:
NoTubes Oktoberfest powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport, Bristol, October 13
Bristol’s popular Ashton Court is the venue for the third NoTubes Oktoberfest powered by Mercedes-Benz Vito Sport on October 13.
Pre-entry is now closed, but there will be day entries available at the event. There will either be a £5 surcharge for entering at the event or you’ll have to forgo your Oktoberfest gift.
Racing activities comprise two four-hour races and an eight-hour event.
The first of the four-hour races and the eight-hour bash start at 9am, while the second four-hour is aimed at those who like a lie in and kicks off at 1pm.
The NoTubes Oktoberfest uses a 10km lap of Ashton Court’s renowned singletrack, which is both fast and pretty much completely weather proof.
Of course, it’s Oktoberfest so there will be oom-pah music, lots of King Ludwig flags and a well stocked bar on Friday and Saturday nights backed up by the Bikefest DJs as well as the Luff Bus who will be looking after the riders’ food intake over the weekend.
For all the latest details get over to the NoTubes Oktoberfest site.
Ride the Enduro1 All-mountain race series final at Swinley
The last race in the popular Enduro 1 series kicks off at 10am at Swinley Forest on Sunday, October 14. There are five timed stages in 27km of riding that will take 2 hours 50 minutes for the competitive class and 3 hours 15 minutes for class riders.
Organiser Carlos Perez says: “I have taken you around some of the best areas of the forest that I could find and was allowed to use to give you Swinley virgins a good taste of this great area.
“The stages are not well known apart from possibly one so locals will not be at an advantage and even on that stage the good riders are going to nail it anyway.”
Entry is £35 and there are still Sport class entries available if you’re quick.
