Billed as an event for mountain bikers “who fancy a new challenge”, the Thetford Cyclo-Cross Enduro is a new concept based on the mountain bike enduro/marathon format.

The event will take place on Sunday September 2 over a 4-6 mile circuit in Thetford Forest, utilising the area’s fire roads and wide tracks, with the senior races held over a total distance of 45-50 miles.
“If the conditions are dry the circuit should be do-able on a road bike with sturdy tyres, although it’s probably best to leave the carbon wheels at home,” the organisers told us, adding that while the circuit is all off-road, it is “not technical at all”.
