The Ride of the Falling Leaves 110km/60km
Sunday October 8th 2000 – 9 am
HERNE HILL VELODROME, BURBAGE ROAD, LONDON, SE24
Following the success of the previous events, Mosquito Bikes in conjunction with
the Dulwich Paragon Cycling Club are pleased to be promoting the 3rd annual ‘Ride
of the Falling Leaves’ in aid of the Lavender Trust. The Lavender Trust is a charitable
fund for younger women with breast cancer and was set up following the death of Ruth
Picardie, whose husband Matt Seaton is a keen cyclist.
A 110 km "cyclo-sportive" ride through the rolling Kent countryside taking
in picturesque and challenging lanes around the North Downs and Sevenoaks Weald.
The ride is organised along the lines of a continental cyclo-sportive event with
certificates for Gold, Silver and Bronze finishing times. New for this year is a
60km supporting event for those who do not fancy the full 110km.
Following the event participants can relax in the Velodrome bar with a drink and
some cyclists nosh!
