Outdoor equipment manufacturer The North Face is to sponsor the five-event Dynamic Adventure Racing series for 2008. The events will be held throughout the year at locations across the South of England and are suitable for all levels, from novices who already enjoy mountain biking or running to experienced adventure racers. Races are open to soloists, pairs or teams of three, and each weekend will feature a choice of stage (Challenge) or continuous (Endurance) competitions including running, mountain biking and navigation.
The North Face (“the world’s premier supplier of authentic, innovative and technically advanced outdoor apparel, equipment and footwear,” it says here) will sponsor marshal uniforms and supply prizes worth over £1,000 for each event.
Eadaoin Hutchinson, Marketing Controller of The North Face UK said, “We are very excited to be involved with Dynamic Adventure Racing particularly as it successfully caters to newcomers and the experienced alike. It is exactly the type of event that our Flight Series range of ultralight, multi-purpose apparel, equipment and footwear has been designed for – the multi-sport athlete who wants maximum performance from their kit for minimum weight.”
Simon Thomas, Director of Dynamic Adventure Racing commented, “As a manufacturer that constantly raises the bar of innovation and performance in its products, we are delighted to have The North Face on board for 2008.”
