Specialized/Cycle 2003 winners

With Cycle 2003 just around the corner, we figured it was time to quickly award all the various show-related prizes that we’ve been accumulating in recent weeks. Most recently we asked you to suggest questions for World MTB Champion Filip Mierhaeghe (Specialized) – we’ll be asking him a whole bunch of them, but we like these five the best. The contributors of these questions win a pair of tickets for Thursday’s special preview evening (5-9pm):

“Where do you ride just for fun?” (Anne Brown)

“What’s the most important thing that you take with you on every ride or race?” (Giles Culkin)

“Do you think you would still have won on a hardtail?” (Jay Pinsent)

“Have you ever ridden a BigHit?” (Ride Fast Take Chances)

“Which do you consider the most important event – the World Championships, the World Cup or the Olympics?” (Sloboy)

Congratulations to all of those, and thanks to everyone else who entered – we’ll credit everyone for the questions they contributed when the interview comes out…

Then of course we had the big prize draw to win a 2004 Specialized Allez road bike. Worth £499, the Allez features a butted A1 aluminium frame, Specialized carbon forks and a mix of Shimano Sora and Tiagra components. Just the job for some fitness-boosting Tarmac miles. The lucky winner is Pete Armstrong from Edinburgh – congratulations, Pete!

Runners-up prizes of a pair of tickets to Cycle 2003 go to: Jamie Strachan, Coventry; Peter Clarke, West Malling, Kent; Jon Rowland, London; Richard Hannah, Leek; Paul Abu-Rabie, Berkhamsted; Anthony Clark, Twickenham; Jason Wood, Brighouse; Rob Gray, Bracknell; Chris Kirkham, London; Mike Williams, London. Congratulations all – enjoy the show…
