Bike not running at 100%? Feeling a bit baggy and rubbish? A new company run by an ex-World Cup race technician aims to raise the bar for bike servicing.
The man in question is Tyrone Dines, who was in charge of the RockShox tech support truck for a number of seasons. He’s now struck out on his own with Tutto Bici, offering “Total Bike Tuning”.
“We don’t just service the bike, but the bike as a whole,” says Dines. “That’s the drivetrain, brakes and the suspension – we take your weight and riding style and then take the time to set the bike up for you as a complete machine. Whether you race downhill, 4X, or cross country, having worked with some of the finest riders in the world, we know what makes your bike work for you.”
Not only that, but you’ll get your bike back so clean you could perform surgery with it. And the prices are comparable with usual bike shop rates too. He’ll also do RockShox and Marzocchi fork servicing. There is a small downside – Tutto Bici is based in Milton Keynes, so unless you’re either within a 25 mile radius of “MK” or are willing to get yourself there, you’re out of luck. But if you’re competing at SITS this weekend (or Dusk ‘Til Dawn in September) then you can treat your bike to some Tutto Bici lovin’ – cables and adjustments are free and for nothing.
