Round 5 of the SouthernXC 2009 series heads to Chawton Park, Alton this weekend (2 August), and will see the Southern Champs taking place as well.

This venue was used last year but the organisers, following last year’s mud bath, have moved the course to the other side of the woods, which means improved access and parking. This is also the venue for the 2010 National Championships, so a good chance for contenders in that race to check out the course.

The course features over four miles of sweet singletrack with some fireroads thrown in for good measure and a wide open arena field. But don’t take our word for it, here’s a video preview of the course thanks to Paul Robinson.
