Silva are well known for their head torches and the Swedish company is using that expertise to launch a three-strong range of bike lights.
The Singletrack light tops the bill and is, as the name would suggest, of most interest to mountain bikers. The £299 lamp has a output of 1,030 Lumens from five LEDs.
The light has four settings – max, min, wide and strobe – and is powered by a 7.2V Li-ion battery, with a run time of two hours, 30 minutes of the most powerful setting and 20 hours of the weakest mode. The waterproof unit, which weighs 135g, claims to have enough power to illuminate the trail up to a distance of 140m.
Meanwhile, the Velo light (£49.99) is aimed at commuters, with a 110-Lumens output, powered by three AAA batteries, and the Simi (£9.99) is a safety light which can be attached to either your handlebar or seatpost using the silicon mount.
