The Votwo South Downs Way MTB Challenge, which covers 106 miles over two days, will run on May 14-15.
With more than 10,000 feet of ascent, the ride is 80 per cent off-road, first taking in 54 miles from Winchester to Washington, where overnight camping accomodation will be provided.
Day two then tackles 52 miles from Washington to the finish line in Eastbourne.
The South Downs Way follows the historic routes and droveways along the chalk escarpment. Route maps will be issued and course navigation will rest upon each rider’s shoulders.
Entry costs £125. Head to the Votwo website for more information.
