Want to get your hands on a top bit of cycling memorabilia? Here’s your chance. Carlton Reid, of top bike industry news site bikebiz.co.uk, got hold of this Trek-USPS jersey at the Interbike trade show in Las Vegas at the beginning of October and Tour de France winner Lance Armstrong signed it in front of thousands of show visitors.
It’s the official 2002 USPS Pro Cycling Team jersey, made by Nike in Italy of Dri-Fit 100% microfibre polyester. There are three back pockets, a 10-inch zipper and Nike, Visa, Yahoo, USPS and Trek logos. And of course Lance Armstrong’s signature across the front…
There’s no other way of getting hold of one of these, and all proceeds from the auction will go to the CTC Cyclists’ Defence Fund (see http://www.ctc.org.uk/). You can bid for the jersey at http://www.bikebiz.co.uk/infozone/auction/auction.php?id=2 . You’ll need to provide your address and email details in order to bid, and you’ll be auto-emailed if anybody trumps your bid. Good luck!
