Steve Peat’s hopes of winning the World DH championship were put in serious doubt this weekend after a crash during practice at the Mt Snow NORBA (US) finals. Latest news is that he’s broken his arm and his foot, and the chances of him riding the worlds looks slim. It’s a bitter end to a fantastic year, with two wins on the Diesel World Cup circuit, at Les Gets and Mont Saint Anne, and holding the UCI No.1 spot for a lot of the season. Though it’s not out of the question for him to race “in pot”, and we’re not doubting his abilities for a minute, it looks like Britains DH hopes lie in the capable hands of Crawford Carrick-Anderson and Rob Warner. |
