Downhill:-

Steve Peat got silver in the DH. Miles Rockwell won it by half a minute. Vouilloz, got eighth. Shocker…

Rob Warner got 21st and Nigel Page got 24th, both riding well despite nursing broke bones in their hands. Scotland’s Crawford Carrick-Anderson was going well until transmission problems slowed him dramatically.



Paul Garrett was going well in the Junior DH, but crashed badly and came in 26th.



Helen Gaskell and Fionn Griffiths got us a silver and bronze in the Junior womens downhill! Result!


XC:-

No great UK news. Martinez won the mens XC and the best UK riders could manage was Oli Beckingsale in 37th.



Caroline Alexander crashed badly and was taken to hospital during the Elite Women’s race. The race was won for the second year in a row by Spain’s Marga Fullana, ahead of Canada’s Alison Sydor and Italy’s Paola Pezzo.
