One careful Texan owner?

True fans of the fastest postman in the west will be delivered into utmost temptation by the news that the US Postal team are clearing out their bike shed.
The OCLV carbon team bikes (or framesets) from 1999 and 2000 are all being auctioned off to whoever wants them, in a fully rideable or just ‘hang it in the shrine’ condition.
The site hasn’t been up for long enough to see how high the bids are going, but if you stay away from the real celebrity bikes like Lance’s or Livingstone’s you might even get yourself a bit of a bargain. Nod your head or raise your hand imperceptibly over to the Trek website and the little auction box should pop up automatically.
Just remember even if you’ve got their bike, you haven’t a hope in hell of going half the speed they do, and you’ll risk having French TV men planting ‘medical supplies’ down your seat tube if you leave it outside a cafe stop too long.
