The Devon MTB mafia, otherwise known as Shred MTB lifestyle magazine, race organiser Martyn Salt and Cove importers Silverfish have got together to organise a new 12 hour MTB enduro at legendary venue Newnham Park.

The Newnham Nightrider is a similar concept to the Marin Dusk Til Dawn in that it runs from 8pm to 8am and therefor takes place largely in darkness. They’re making a big thing out of the allegedly haunted status of the woods through which the course runs, although if we were spooks hanging out in there when a bunch of mountain bikers wired on lack of sleep and energy drinks came through, we’d head off and haunt somewhere else for a bit.

Races at Newnham always feature great courses, and this one should be no exception. There’s talk of some brand new sections for the Nightrider, too.
