Newnham 90 looks an even better event, with Biker X racing, bike jumble (not confirmed yet), pasta party and transport help arranged around the epic 90km main event.
Final confirmations will be sent out as soon as everything is sorted, but with the Newnham and Forestry sections approved only final go ahead from Dartmoor is needed for the September 22-23rd event. Free admission to the venue for riders and supporters means you can chill out watching the BSX racing before tackling the ‘slightly longer’ 90km course the next day. Freestyle clothing have also come on board as clothing sponsors so there will be some top prizes available. The even better news is that as it isn’t officially a race these will be awarded in an as yet undecided manner, so as long as you can finish the course you could get a prize.
The organisers have also set up a travel share scheme so that people whoo need a lift down to the bottom left hand corner of England can get one from someone who’s nearby or at least coming past. Organiser Martyn Salt asks that you “specify whether you want to travel with male or female driver/passenger, the maximum distance you would consider driving to pick up your passenger, and your intended departure date/time.” He’ll then try and link people together so they can save on costs, but get your details in before September as they’ll be too busy to sort anything out after that.
Otherwise just keep getting those miles in over the next two months.
