Britain has a new downhill star – Giant UK’s Crawford Carrick Anderson placed 7th in the Diesel World Cup DH in Bromont, Canada this weekend. Tipped by many to be an up-and-coming rider, Crawford’s been improving all season and this increasing confidence has gained him this near-podium position. Steve Peat’s run was made tough by torrential rain which arrived half way through the day. A small off at the top put him in a bad position, with bars and gloves covered in mud, and he never really recovered.
