New carbon Enve Mountain Stem unveiled

New carbon Enve Mountain Stem unveiled, weighs just 85g

Enve, makers of some of the most desirable (and most expensive) carbon fibre wheels, has added the new Mountain Stem to its M-Series range, which currently consists of wheels and riser handlebars.

The new stem is available in four lengths, 40, 55, 70 and 85mm, with a +/-6 degree rise and 37mm stack height. That low stack height should be good for riders wanting to keep the front-end as low as possible, and of particular interest to 29ers.

It’s constructed from unidirectional carbon fibre and features an aluminium faceplate and titanium bolts to keep the weight down. All that carbon and titanium certainly contributes to the weight, Enve is claimed just 85g for the shortest 40mm version.

Such lightness and loveliness doesn’t come cheap though, despite no UK price having been announced yet, we’re confident it’s going to be on the expensive side. If you’re not put off by a potentially high price, you want to get yourself over to UK distributor www.saddleback.co.uk or start pestering your nearest Enve stockist.
