The MTB National Points Series concluded a disrupted season at the weekend with the final rounds of the downhill and cross-country. In the Elite Men’s downhill, David Armstrong took the honours from Ed Moseley (Animal / Orange) with Dan Atherton (Muddy Fox) third. However, Moseley had the satisfaction of taking the series. The Elite Women’s race went to Fionn Griffitths (Ancillotti UK / Zeal) from Tracey Moseley (Team Kona / Ford Focus). Series winner was Adele Croxon (Animal / Orange).
In the Cross-Country, second place behind Nick Craig (Diamondback) was good enough to give national champion Oli Beckingsale (Scott UK) the series. Y2K’s Sue Thomas won the elite Women’s race, but second placed Tracy Brunger (Helly Hansen / Giant) took the series.
Final series standings in more detail will be on the BCF website tomorrow.
