A €3 million mountain bike and BMX centre, featuring a 1.1km off-road track, has opened on the Spanish island of Menorca.

The circuit at the Sport Bike Fitness Centre has been designed by former downhill pro Oscar Saiz, with additional input from riders he coaches on the Giant Factory Off-Road Team.
The course, suitable for mountain bikes and BMXs, starts from the roof of the fitness centre, with a start ramp firing riders into the fast flowing circuit, which features a series of jumps.
A new purpose built fitness centre has fitness suites, treatment rooms, meeting rooms, bike storage, workshop, changing areas and a laundry, while a bike hire service will also be open during peak season. A bar and restaurant with an outdoor area on the first floor overlooks the circuit.
The Sport Bike Fitness Centre is also an ideal base for exploring Menorca’s off-road trails, including the Cami de Cavalls, a 200km loop of the island. A series of off-road events have been planned for the centre during the year and will be announced soon.
