Race Face, Canadian component makers and prime movers in the jumping big bikes off big rocks / houses / cliffs etc. ‘Xtreme scene’ have extended the deadline for their show and tell film compo.
The ‘Ultimate Freeride Challenge’ involves riders sending in a 60 second video of them pulling moves that they feel encapsulate the ethics (stupidity?) behind the Nu Skool of Freeriding. However pro riders explained that they couldn’t fit the filming in around their busy race schedule so the deadline has now been extended to January 15, 2002.
The final 16 clips will be shown head to head on the Race Face website for public voting towards a final winner, who will be crowned “Ultimate Freeride Champion” at the Sea Otter Classic in Monterey, California on March 21st, 2002.
If you have got your clip in on time you won’t be penalised for hurrying, as Race Face marketing coordinator, Marshall Rutman explained;
“We’ve been blown away by the quality of the videos we’ve received so far and would like to reward those riders who worked so hard to get their videos in to us before the original deadline.” “As a token of our appreciation, we’ll be sending each entrant a selected item from our brand new 2002 clothing line.”
Those who reckon their hucking is good enough to get them in with a chance should head for the Race Face site for full competition information.
