This year’s Marin Roughride takes place on Sunday 14 June, and promises a great ride across the open hills of the Welsh borders. Over the years the Roughride has built a reputation for being a laid back yet slickly organised event, and it attracts riders from all over the country.
The organisers are particularly proud of their courses, with lots of delicate negotiations with landowners opening up usually off-limits moorland tracks – the Roughride team say that the course will have the smallest proportion of road riding of any single-loop enduro in England or Wales.
Event HQ will be on Hergest Ridge, above Kington on the Welsh border. Title sponsor Marin will be providing spot prizes and will have its demo fleet on hand for test rides from Saturday lunchtime onwards. Torq will be there to ply you with energy drinks and catering will be by the legendary Wilf’s.Entry in advance will be £27.50, including camping, event t-shirt and post-ride meal courtesy of the aformentioned caterers of legend. Visit www.roughride.co.uk for further details and entry.
