A Newcastle bike shop is offering a limited number of riders a ‘weekender’ demo experience: two days of riding in the heart of stunning Northumberland for just £30.
On November 13-14, M Steels Cycles of Gosforth, established in 1894, is offering the opportunity to test bikes from Specialized’s 2011 range, including Epics, Stumpjumpers, Enduros, lady’s Safire FSRs and the all new 120mm Camber trail bike. There will also be products available from CamelBak, Altura clothing, PowerBar and lights from Lupine.
Endurance racer Rich Rothwell will be on hand along with other local riders to share some of the best natural trails in the area, making sure you have the chance to test the bikes to their full potential.
A place on the weekend includes a bed on the Saturday night at Tomlinson’s Bunkhouse in Rothbury, where you will also be provided with dinner, bed and breakfast.
In the evening you can enjoy a night ride to remember or develop your skills with M Steel’s master wheel builder Dave Buchan, who will be giving a free wheel building class.
Or there will be the opportunity to just relax and enjoy some local real ale in one of Rothbury’s many pubs.
If you buy a Specialized bike or set of Lupine lights on the weekend you’ll get your £30 refunded.
And if you purchase a Specialized bike, you’ll also receive 10 per cent of the bike’s value in Specialized accessories.
Sound like a great kick start to your winter riding? Give M Steels a ring on 0191 2851251 and ask for Dave Buchan to reserve your place.
The weekend will start at 10:30am on Saturday 13 at Tomlinson’s Bunkhouse, Rothbury, Northumberland.
Keep an eye open for similar M Steels demo weekends in the future featuring test bikes from Trek and Orange.
