It hurts, but it works

Top coach, Dave Smith of Kjerag.com drew our attention to two reports that show interval trainig really can produce significant gains amongst endurance athletes.
The studies measured ‘keen’ and ‘Elite level’ riders who replaced a portion of their normal training programme with a series of 6 -8 5min, 80% effort intervals, with a minutes rest between. Results were then measured in terms of lactic acid (the ‘burning’ element in high intensity workouts) buffering and performances over a 40km time trial.
Both groups recorded significant gains in time trial speed and pain tolerance at peak power, from only 1 interval session per week, which is pretty impressive for an already conditioned athlete.
So if you’re a Red Buller wanting to get results fast, get yourself over to Kjerag.com and check out the complete details.
