It’s easy to spend all your dosh on an expensive front light and neglect the rear light, which is fine if you only ride off-road. But if you need to ride on the public roads to get to the trails first, or you cycle to your place of work, it’s worth investing in a rear light that will ensure other road users can easily see you and will survive winter weather.
Hope realise this, and have launched the District rear light. Inside the case are three LED lamps that provide wide 240+ degrees of visibility and runs either off its own two cell battery pack or by using a splitter cable and plugging into a front Hope light battery.
Run times are touted as 10-hours on the high mode, and when integrated into the front light system, the battery life is reduced by less than 10%, even with the rear light running at max.
No word on availability yet. The price is said to be about £95.
