Entries for the 12 hour enduro 12:12 Torq in your Sleep are flooding in, the organisers tell us.
The event takes place on 30 August at Minley Manor near Yateley, and there is still time to enter. Deadline for online and postal entries is Friday 21 August and there is no entry on the day, so id you want to get a ride you know what you need to do.
If you’re still unsure of your exact team line-up, then don’t worry, you can submit your entry anyway and confirm the rider names either by email [email protected] any time before entries close or on the actual day when you collect your race number pack at event registration. The event can be ridden solo, pairs or in teams of three and four.
For the course the organisers have laid out an 8-mile course with a figure of eight layout similar to last year, with flowing singletrack through pine forest and parkland with a few technical challenges interspersed by short fire roads to aid recovery and refuelling. The final section into the arena will be shortened to a very fast downhill blast awarding both riders and spectators a great view of the action.
Headline sponsors TORQ Fitness will be giving away free bottles, energy bars or gels to every rider. In addition, they’ll also be supplying the on-course TORQ Power Station with free energy drink. On-site facilities include free camping from 2pm Saturday to 2pm Monday, with showers, toilets, drinking water, hot and cold food from Saturday evening through to the early hours of Monday morning. For solo riders there’s a seperate pit and camping area. And of course for post-event enjoyment photographer Joolze Dymond will be snapping throughout the weekend.
The venue opens from 2pm on Saturday when the course will be available for recce riding. Event registration will be open on Sunday from 8am to 10.30am for race number pack Collection with a rider briefing at 11am.
