Giant – the well known Taiwanese bike manufacturer is making electric bicycles for Ford Motor’s new line of alternative fuel products, the Think brand.
Bloomberg Business News reported on Tuesday that Giant expects to make 30,000 Think units this year in its Taiwan factory. Two models were detailed, the conventionally framed “Fun” model with a 22-mile range, and a folding “Traveller” model with a 16-mile range. Retail price is expected to be $1,000 and $1,200, respectively.
The bikes will be available in the US in June, sold (of course) via the Ford division website.
