Planning on a riding holiday but want a preview of where you’re going before shelling out your hard-earned cash? We might have the answer. What with the increasing availability of inexpensive camcorders and helmetcams, video is becoming a hugely popular way of sharing your ride experience. So by way of an experiment, we thought that we’d bring you a couple of films from one of our holiday partners – we, and they, would like to know what you think. Some background: In March this year, Ride Sierra Nevada, a mountain biking holiday company based in Southern Spain, commissioned Visual Euphoria Productions to produce a film that highlighted the trails, scenery and variety of riding on offer. The aim was to reach out to the rapidly growing broadband internet audience that could watch video online and give them a taste of the riding available.

Ride Sierra Nevada HQ is located in the village of Monachil, 20 minutes from Granada airport and well positioned in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountain range. This impressive range of mountains, soaring to 3,479m, has an abundance and variety of natural trails unmatched by any other region in Spain. The company offers eager mountain bikers accommodation, bike hire and guiding packages. The latter can range from anything between a long weekend of local riding to a trans-regional summit-to-sea six day epic with support vehicles.
