Cyclists looking to buy or sell used bicycles now have a specific online marketplace to trade – Bikesoup.
Bikesoup aims to make trawling through eBay or GumTree a thing of the past, with its clean interface designed wholly with cyclists in mind.
And Bikesoup and Bike Magic have joined forces to offer readers a one month free trial. Just use the voucher code bikemagic15nov to place an ad for free until November 15.
Bikesoup allows buyers to search for bikes by a range of criteria – from manufacturer to groupset and frame size to brake type.
Sellers can rate their bike on frame condition, conditions of components, specification of bike, originality of bike and history and paperwork with bike.
Prices start at £3.10 to place a classified ad and rise to a maximum fee of £9.90 for bikes with a price tag of more than £500.
A full cycle dealer portal with comprehensive stock management tools will be launched this month.
Bikesoup managing director Antony Auty said: “I am delighted to announce the launch of Bikesoup.
“This will be the first bike specific website to be launched with a custom-made user interface for buying and selling bikes that has separate functionality for private and trade advertisers.
“We believe this will dramatically improve product exposure for independent cycle shops, as well as provide an excellent service for consumers.”
