The Glasgow International Bike Film Festival has announced additional dates and the chance to win some pretty special prizes as part of the UK and Ireland cinema tour of the new film from the team behind The Collective, Roam and Seasons.
Featuring British rider and 2008 UCI DH World Champion Gee Atherton amongst a host of familiar faces, Follow Me is a modern portrait of mountain bike lifestyle, getting back to basics and reminding us why we all love to ride bikes.
New dates announced include Bike Radar Live! at Brands Hatch, Brighton, Southampton, Dundee and Peebles.
A second date has also been announced for London on Thursday 27 May at the Prince Charles cinema, the day after the first screening. Demand for tickets for the London screening has been phenomenal to the extent that the first screening has already sold out three weeks before the screening.
As a result, a second screening is scheduled for Thursday 27 May with tickets going on sale on line and from the Box Office from Friday 7 May. Demand is expected to be very high with the cinema advising that tickets should be bought well in advance as another sell out is expected.
Prizes can be won at the Ambleside and London screenings. Two winners will be the very first in the country to get their hands on a 10 speed Shimano mountain bike groupset as well as a host of PRO signature series accessories, courtesy of Madison. At Brighton there will be prizes from Kinesis Bikes and at Sheffield, www.thebiketree.co.uk and 18 Bikes will be the generous prize givers.
And at the Bath screening, a big after screening party and prize raffle is planned courtesy of www.jonashelford.com who has previously brought sell out mountain bike film screenings to The Little Theatre Cinema.
