No rain for a couple of weeks means super fast Scottish trails at Glentress. The North Shore stuff is the easiest it is ever going to get just now.
We had a visit last night from FHM magazine who are running a feature on nightriding. Our mission: To take complete mountain bike virgin Lee, put him on a bike and give him the Glentress experience. In the dark of course… Nice man Chris from RAW lent us some very bright NiteRider lights to make it easier for him (although he may have done better had he just shut his eyes). Yes, we took him to the North Shore and he did OK, but I’m just glad he wasn’t riding my bike – he did some remarkable Charlie Chaplin stylee crashes…
Look out for December’s edition of FHM which is out at the end of October. Also featured will be Fort William, as they plan to chuck Lee down that too. Those mad young guys…
We’re still running our Wednesday late nights (until 10pm) for the night riders, and will be renting out lights from the 2nd of October. For night riding virgins Tracy Brunger (part of the Sleepless-winning Helly Hansen Giant team) and I will be guiding groups out. There’ll be a charge covering light rental and food – cost yet to be decided, but good value guaranteed.
