Silverfish secures e.thirteen
Silverfish are proud to announce that they have been appointed the exclusive UK distributors of e.thirteen components and chainguides.
You may not have heard of e.thirteen – the US company’s UK availability has been slightly patchy. But now Silverfish, importers of Race Face, Cove Bikes, SDG, Rock ‘n’ Roll Lubes, Roach and SockGuy socks, have taken on UK distribution so there’s every chance that e.thirteen stuff will be in a shop near you soon.
e.thirteen is based in the North-East US and is chiefly known for DH and freeride chainguides – the flaghsip SRS has had a lot of success on the World Cup circuit. Rather than potentially bendable alloy outer plates, e.thirteen uses a chunky-yet-light injection-moulded Makrolon bashguard. It also supplies standalone trials-size guards in the same material.
Possibly of wider appeal is the cunning DRS. This guide uses a nifty double roller, letting you run two rings and a front derailleur. So you get the versatility of an extra chainring with the security of a single-ring setup. Now that’s neat.
Also in the range are “chainguide optimised” chainrings, while the e.thirteen guys are beavering away on pedal and stem projects for 2005.
According to the official press release, all parties concerned are variously “stoked” and “psyched” with the deal. Call Silverfish on 01752 313253 to find your nearest stockist, or if you’re a shop and would like to be the nearest stockist…
