“Things are taking shape nicely with a great course, a wide range of prizes and some great facilities, all ready for the day," the SPAM Biking organsiers behind the event told us recently, adding “Last year’s course was well received and we got some great feedback. However, rather than rest on our laurels we’ve been out adding some new sections to make it even better.
"It’ll be a seven mile loop, all off-road and consisting of nearly 50 per cent technical woodland singletrack."
Sounds good to us. And with sponsorship from Charge Bikes, Four4th Lights, Mule Bar, Giro and Red Bull, there should be some good prizes up for grabs.
As well as the 12-hour main race, which can be contested solo, pairs or a team, there’s two 6-hour races. The first starts with the 12-hour race at midday, and the second 6-hour race at 6pm. And if you haven’t entered yet, you can still enter on the day.
See you there.
