A great win in the youth race

Youth
A long and tough course awaited the youth riders with the race to be held over
two laps of the full off road circuit.

Rowan Miller (Larkfield Cycles) took an early lead ahead of Thomas
Humphrys (Sutton CC/De Ver Cycles) and Hugo Humphreys (LVYCC).

Just a few seconds down on the lead three Stuart Stares was locked in a great
battle with Taylor Johnstone (Herne Hill Youth CC), Mario Morais (Team Economic
Energy) and Nat Jarvis (Team Darenth).

Just as exciting was the fight carried out for 8th between Samantha Bryant (Marin
UK), Tijan Sealy (Herne Hill YCC) and Alec Briggs Herne Hill CC. Bryant and
Sealy crossed the line elbow to elbow.

At the front Hugo Humphreys had taken over the lead to win.

Despite the hard course it was a delight to see so many close battled right
down the field and although not everyone could be the fastest it was encouraging
to see how well everyone can ride.

It was close in under 12

Under 12
The under 12s raced on a smaller course situated within the road circuit. From
the start Andrew Rogers (Herne Hill Youth CC), Alex Minting (Sheffield Phoenix)
and Josh Green (LVYCC) pulled away.

As the race progressed Roger gained time over Minting as Green rode to third.
At the flag Minting had cut Rogers advantage, but it wasn’t enough to claim
the win.

Right down the field there were plenty of quality tussles and fine riding.
