Some good news at last for mountain bike riders who have been unable to race so far this season because of national and regional foot and mouth restrictions.

Trevor Brown, from South Raynham, organiser of Eastern Region Velo cycling club, announced today that, starting April 24, the club is to stage a summer evening cyclo cross League at Hempton Common, near Fakenham, sponsored by Hunstanton bike firm Fat Birds Don’t Fly.

There will be races in all categories – from under 12s to veterans – on Tuesday evenings, with riders allowed to use mountain bikes or cyclo cross bikes.
