The annual Dairi-Pak Mountain Bike Challenge is a fundraising event that pits riders against a testing 22 mile course, mostly off-road, run on trails around the Berwyn Mountains, Wales, on 9 May.
The event aims to raise money for several charities, including the Cosford and Welshpool Air Ambulances together with St. John’s Ambulance Association. Last year almost £10,000 was raised.
And thanks to the cooperation of local landowners, the riders will get to venture onto trails not normally open to the public. The event HQ is Rhiwlas Village Hall. There’s also a 6 mile family friendly option though the Rhisias countryside. Both routes are fully way-marked and marshaled.
